My work ranges from creating mobile applications for Android and iOS to developing websites and APIs, focusing on translating customer needs into technical solutions. I've had the opportunity to volunteer for the community through a variety of organizations. With Code Orange, I mentored an elementary school student weekly on how to code using Scratch. In the Longhorn Entrepreneurship Agency, I helped put on events/workshops/talks on campus to engage students in entrepreneurship. With HackTX, a friend and I built the official app for the over 700 student attendees. With 3 Day Startup, I helped run a 72 hour learn-by-doing startup workshop. For the Cambridge Science Festival my team and I were responsible for developing and organizing hands-on STEM events targeted towards middle and high school students. I've completed over 500 volunteer hours through the Burlington Recreation Department, the Rotary Club and the National Honor Society.

an iOS app to help get your friends together to grab something to eat quickly and easily
Who's Hungry is an app that is meant to streamline the process of getting a group of people together to go out to eat on short notice. When students like you and me only have 1-1.5 hrs to eat, and you don't want to eat alone, texting all of your friends individually, or using group chats can be laborious.
App workflow:
Step 1: Select friends
Step 2: Choose time to meet
Step 3: Vote on the nearest restaurants
Step 4: Confirmation
Step 5: Tracking group members locations as they converge onto the chosen restaurant
Step 6: Chow down
This, removes (entirely) the need for texting to meetup to go get a bite to eat on the fly!

iPad App helping students organize large essays with interactive notecards
Let's take out the tedious parts of writing an essay and bring term papers into the 21st century! This app lets you create notecards with topic sentences, points, illustrations (with images! videos coming soon...), citations and explanations. You're able to organize the notecards by color and move them around the screen to help layout your essay.
The data is backed up to the cloud so don't worry about losing what you've written. Once the notecards are done, the app will create an outline based on the order you define and if you're happy with the outline, the app creates the essay (all you need to do then is to write the transition sentences) and the citation page which you can export.

Measure Your Heart Rate Using Your Webcam!

This project can monitor a user's heart rate in real time using just a webcam. It is a PPG (Photoplethysmogram) solution based on a color magnification algorithm which makes it possible to see the color of your face change as blood rushes in and out of your head. This project allows you to visualize your face as it pulsates in real time. Since it is able to detect your pulses, it also calculates your heart rate in beats per minute (BPM).
